There are over 50,000 Watkins associates in North America.  I did the math the other day and calculated that the number of productive Watkins associates averages about 1 per 10,000 people in the general population.  What that tells me is selling Watkins products is a huge and wonderful business opportunity to anyone that becomes a Watkins Associate (in the U.S.) or Watkins Consultant (in Canada).

The Watkins home-based business is intended and designed to start as a part-time busines opportunity and build to a full-time income over time.  We generally say it takes 3 to 5 years to enjoy full-time income levels with Watkins, but then again that always depends on how much money your accustomed to making and how much effort you’re willing to put into building your Watkins busines.

Watkins: A Great Business for Bad Economic Times
Sunday, January 11th, 2009 | Author: Craig

In leaving Church last night I bumped into a friend that is Vice President of Sales for a major wholesale food service company.  He told me that a number of restaurants in our city had filed for bankruptcy and that business was down 16% to 18% in most of the high-end restaurants.  He also related that when these failing restaurant owners went to the bank to seek loans to get them through the recession, banks that had always been quick to loan them money turned them down.

On my drive home I was thinking about what he had to say and my thoughts quickly turned to Watkins.  For one thing he said in closing was that he was trying to get his company to enter the grocery supply business, because although restaurants were heavily impacted by the drastic slump in our economy, local grocery store sales were up 3% because more people were eating at home instead of dining out.

So how does this relate to Watkins?  It’s because many of the products Watkins sells are “recession proof” products, and all the products Watkins sells are used in the home or for personal use.  Thus, if people are eating out less and staying home more, it stands to reason they’ll be using more products at home.

I’m sure you’ve heard people say before that one good thing about being in the health care business or in the grocery business is that people will always have health issues and will always need to eat.  Well, when you look at the Watkins products line you’ll see numerous products like seasonings, flavorings, extracts, laundry detergents, dish-washing detergents, soaps, toilet bowl cleaners, vitamins, anti-diarrhea medicine, salve for cuts and burns, lip balm, insect repellents, etc.

Let’s face it, these are products that people buy every day, during good economies and bad economies, during good times and bad times.  They are recession-proof products.  But this is just one aspect of the Watkins equation . . .  just one good reason why you should consider starting your own Watkins home-based business.

Why?  Because there are many more good reasons for starting a Watkins home-based business.  Chief among them  is long-term financial security.  If you never want to worry about what is going to happen in to your life and family the next time we have a financial crisis or downturn in the economy, you owe it to yourself to look into the many positive reasons for starting your own Watkins business part-time, and building it into a full time income over the next few years.
